Peter J. Leithart (PhD, University of Cambridge) is professor of theology and literature at New Saint Andrews College and pastor of Trinity Reformed Church in Moscow, Idaho. He is the author of a number of books, including A House for My Name: A Survey of the Old Testament, Against Christianity, and a forthcoming commentary on 2 Peter. A contributing editor for Touchstone, he has also written articles for First Things, Modern Theology, Journal of Biblical Literature, and Pro Ecclesia.

1 and 2 Kings, like each volume in the Brazos Theological Commentary on the Bible, is designed to serve the church--through aid in preaching, teaching, study groups, and so forth--and demonstrate the continuing intellectual and practical viability of theological interpretation of the Bible.
